End season of 2008 Racing

It has finally over, the races season of 2008. And this year round, the team and manage to win in most of the major races in Singapore. Too bad that I did not go for the China race which the mix team won first, other then that, i am really happy with what the men team have achieve this year.

The team need to work hard next year, and I always remind myself that, WINNING IS HARD, BUT CONTINUE WINNING IS HARDER.

After Singapore River Regatta 2008

It is finally over!!! I am happy with the results. For the main team, We got: 3rd in  Men open 20 crew- grand final; 2nd in Interclub 10 crew-grand final; 2nd in Mix- plate final. I believe that we can do better next time round. 

This year round, Interclub have a total of 78 teams taking part in this events. As compair to last year with only 5oplus teams. I have becomes so hard. But We was 2nd out of all the teams!!! Is not easy, really it is not.

20 men (OPEN) was always a events for the school. The grand final have RP, SMU, SIM, SP and SAFRA. We were the only Club in the final, and we got 3rd!!!

Last year, interclub we came in first, this time round we lose to the national team, but i am still happy with our result. I believe that SAFRA as a team will be better and better.

where should i go fro here? End of 2008 coming of 2009

I believe that we are born on to the world to do something, each and everyone of us. Is not easy to see where we should go or how we should move on. But I believe that no matter how hard it will be, the correct way is always there. I dun really ask for much, but to let everyone be happy and able to support what i believe in.

Will see the future but the pass, will build the path not the road.

SAFRA Dragon Boat Halloween night 2008

It was fun to organizing such a party for the club. Stupid thing happen during the party and masticate happen as well, but all starts well and end well. Thank god!!

Now, I have to move one for my study, my team, my family and friends, work hard and work harder!!!!!

10km challenge 2008- 4/10/08

finally, 10km race is over!!!! Is not easy, but I manage to finish it will my head high. This is my 3rd year taken part in this race, is really not easy as it seen, Running 10km seen to be more easy from rowing 10km.

This year round we came in 5th, like what I told the rest of the team. The placing is the end results of how much our training is. If we do want to win, we need to train as a team together, guys and ladies.

This year row, other then just rowing, I was pumping water at the same time as well. It really not a easy job!! Hopefully I do not need to do it again NEXT Year!!!

This year, I got more injury as compare to the pass two years. Maybe I am really getting old, haha.

Busy Busy

 For the pass two months, it was really very busy. Going for class, getting assignments done. Training for race, going for race and training again. It has really been a non-stop all the way run!!

But along the way, I can see how my study are slowly on the right path and study with my group of classmates. SAFRA Dragonboat club having a new group of rowers and seeing the grow. It is good that in life there is people who share the same goal with you.

But life is not perfect, I never see myself as the perfect person. I learn from wrong, I learn from others, life is a process on learning to be better.

To that someone, you have choice your own way. Sometimes, is not everyone against you, is you against the rest. If you think you can live in your own small little dream world, hello. Grow up!!

HD In Mass Communication

 Been planning for study for quite awhile till finally decided to put all aside and GO FOR IT!!!

Gotten my Diploma last year and now Higher Diploma. Degree is still on the way, Is not easy, but

I Know I Can do it one.

Doing what that will be better, doing what will be for future.

Our big family

Sometimes is hard to made a decision and choice, but once a decision is made may it be good or bad, one must not regret your decision and that will be the right one.

Been with SAFRA Dragons for almost 1 year and 6 months now. I have won my first gold in 2007 River Regatta; Gold in MR500; now silver in June Race 2008. But all of them is from interclub & houses. The next target will be taking part and challenge all the schools & National team soon.

In SAFRA Dragons, we found our family to share not just the liking of the sport, but the feeling of one big family as well. Is not easy to find a group of people who we become so close with in everyday life.

Hope that SAFRA Dragons be stronger and we will surge & conquer!!!!

RESULTS for June Race 2008!!!

Yes, SAFRA Dragons have did it again!!! This time round we won 2nd and 3rd in Interclub Final!!!

Specially my group of Team E!!! We got 2nd!!!!

But we will not stop here. Is time to train harder and be better to race with the national and schools teams, and win them one by one!!!

I believe that SAFRA Dragons will be there SOON!!

Moving On, half way for the year

Wow, time does fry. Have just finish my first semester in MONASH. May it be good or bad, is time to continue on for the balance 3 semester. The road is long, but end of the road i will see the light that i been looking for.

Will have two weeks plus before the next semester starts. But no time to rest, have to prepare for the up and coming JUNE Race. For the first time as part of committee, I do hope our team do well. 

180508 Jansen & Carie Weeding

18.05.08 it was Jansen & Carie big day. It was very busy from the morning till the night but it was really a nice and fun day. Been busy with the few video for the past few days, but it was great to see that the end products was not too bad.

My 32rd Birthday with SAFRA

It has been awhile went i celebrate my birthday with my friends and teammates. Thank you for the nice treat and thanks for giving me my first FOSSIL Watch.

It has been my 2nd year since i join SAFRA Dragons, It has so far been my 2nd family and I am prove of being part of the team.

Other then my own personal wish, the other wish i have is to WIN gold from June race, let work together for that!!

June Race 2008 for SAFRA Dragons

Is the first time in my Dragonboat rowing days in the pass 6 years that this time round I am in the planning process of setting goals and objective for a team.

Always know that this is not a easy job, but it still have to be done in this way. I strongly believe that SAFRA Dragons are able to achieve a higher place in the DB scene of Singapore. Let the new 2008 Committee to work toward the goals together. I am glad and happy to be part of the team.

Sam's last day in Sem1 2008

It has been almost two years since we started our study. Fate is strange when we are 12 years apart yet we became classmates. 

Will miss the time spend in rushing assignments and study together.

All the best and do take care in the ARMY. Will still see you in part time classes.

Is been awhile since you take part in the sport again. But do not worry what is the out come this time. I know that you try your best and just work harder for next year.

New Role in the team

Is has been awhile since the last time I be in a committee. In my 6 years of high school, 5 years of my time was spend in an uniform group and was in the committee for 3 years is until my last year in school then i decide to do what i truly love.

10 years later, I am in a committee again, but this time round I know I will enjoy my role and will help to build our team into something better.

Ming and Jimmy, thank you for the chance and to all the committee of SAFRA Dragons 08/09, let work together to support our dear "Jummy", hehe

We did It AGAIN, MR500 Corpclub 20men GOLD

Yes, SAFRA Guys did it again!! This time round we won the GOLD in MR500's Interclub 2008!!! Is a good start for this season of races, we need to and we have to keep on going and winning from now onward as we are the number one interclub team in Singapore now!!

Now we have 10 good pair of men that able to fight with the schools' teams in Singapore. I know SAFRA can, and We will be able to do that soon!!!

GZ, is been really nice to have row with you in the past one year. Will be waiting for you to finish your NS and rejoin us by then. Ming you have been a great leader that have been leading us to the road of winning, is sad to see you turn down the offer of chairman again, but you will always have our support.

Keep the wheel rounding and the golds will be coming in!!! SARFA SA!!!!

Youth Olympics 2010 in SINGAPORE

21st Feb 2008 a thursday was at first just a normal weekday that SAFRA Dragons be doing our land training. But around 7:05pm we heard the great news that "Singapore won the bid for the first every Youth Olympics!!!" The feeling was great!! Specially for groups of people that are into sports.

Is a new sport era and is a historical day in the history of Singapore.

CNY 2008

It has been a new CNY break back to my hometown. Was back to kluang or 10 days this was the longest CNY trip for me within the pass 8 years. It was a great chance to spend sometimes with my family at home.

My sister and I spend the two days before CNY making cookies and goodie; it was fun and it is something that we will do almost every year and it is a must for us now. Ah boy and Ah girl was always hanging around to show their support and dear Siao Yee did her part to help us as well.

Ah girl and her "God Father" also spend some wonderful time together, and from what ah girl said; " WenShong is not cat!!!"

Holiday is over now, is time to prepare for class to start and upcoming race. Wish everyone to have a fruitful 2008!!!!

CLOVERFIELD - the worst movie every!!!

It was a bad experience every with a movie. This was the first time in my life that I wanted to walking out of the cinema!!!!

The movie uses third person point of view to go through the movie from a video cam, the non stop moving really make the viewers SICK!!!

Hope the rest of the year there wun be any movie worse then this, haha

SAWADIKA!!!

It was my second trip to Thailand unlike the first time, I enjoy this trip more. Maybe is because I was with my follow teammates, haha. :-)

It was really a shop and eat till you drop trip, from morning till night!!! Is nice to travel in a group of 11, but too bad that Ming cannot make it, if not it will be more fun!!

Most of the guys went to made shirts for Jansen and Carie's weeding, and we are looking forward to their weeding in may!

Let plan another group trip next year!!! Ming must go ho. :p

Welcome to TAIWAN 2008

This was my third trip to taiwan, and it is still enjoyable and fun. The 10c low windy temperature was really nice and is fun to be in winter clothes where we do not need it in Singapore at all. 7-11 in taiwan is one of the most visited place for me as there is so many difference type of milk tea that I have never seen before! Love the Cali gym there, is so huge and nice.

 

Looking forward to the next trip to Taiwan. I Love Taiwan!!!
